Meet the Career Development Staff

Megan MillerMegan Miller

Director

Megan is the new Director for the Center, and received her Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University in Photography, a Post Baccalaureate certificate from Studio Art Centers International (SACI) in Florence, Italy, and her Masters in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University. She has been at MICA for 8 years, formerly serving as the Director and Assistant Director of Student Activities. Megan loves hiking, outdoor adventures and absolutely loves working with MICA students!

Marsha Lynn Hammond '98 Sculpture & '99 MAT
Assistant Director for Design + Media

Marsha Lynn Hammond comes to us from MICA's Office of Undergraduate Admission where she has worked for the past 11 years as an Admission Counselor, Coordinator of International Admission and most recently Director of Admission.  An artist herself, Marsha is an alum of MICA, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture '98 and an Master of Arts in Teaching '99.  She taught in Baltimore County schools before returning to MICA as staff.   Marsha and her husband Greg (yes very Brady!) live in Hampden with their 10 month old, Owen.

Rachel Sitkin '02 Painting
Assistant Director for Fine Art

Rachel Sitkin joined the Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Career Development in the summer of 2011 as Assistant Director of Career Development for Fine Arts. Rachel assists students and alumni who have a specific interest in pursuing a career in the fine arts to apply for grants and residencies, pursue graduate degrees and prepare for successful careers in the arts. She received her B.F.A. from MICA (painting) in ‘02 and her M.F.A. in studio art from American University in ‘10. She maintains an active studio practice and has shown widely in Baltimore as well as in Washington, DC, Lima, Peru and Italy. Her work was recently featured in New American Paintings #87 MFA annual. In addition to her love of the arts, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and being outdoors.  www.rachelsitkin.com

Meagan Zink Denham ‘05
Program Assistant

Born and raised in Baltimore, Meagan Zink Denham received her B.F.A. from MICA in 2005 (General Fine Arts), and has been assisting students with their professional development in the Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Career Development for the past two years.  Prior to working at MICA, she fed her passion for art supplies and art-making by managing a local retailer, Plaza Artist Materials in Mount Vernon.  Meagan continues to create her own work and sells her goods at craft fairs and on Etsy.  She also loves to experience nature, loves to hike, and especially loves the beach.

Erin Treacy
Fulbright Program Adviser & Jack Kent Cooke Adviser

Erin Treacy comes to us from New York City, receiving her BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute and her MFA from UMASS Dartmouth. She recently returned from Ireland after living there for 2 years. Erin applied at-large for a Fulbright to west coast of Ireland to complete visual research in the unique environment of The Burren. She is now sharing her success and advice with our students and alumni. Being exposed to a wide variety of landscape fuels Erin's creativity. In addition to her own excursions she has been fortunate to participate in numerous artist symposiums/residencies throughout Europe.
