James Williams II, born in 1982 to James Williams Sr. and Eunice D. Williams, attended Onondaga Community College, where he received his associate's degree in graphic arts. He continued his education at the State University of New York at Cortland and received his bachelor's degree in studio art in 2004.
Williams' work discusses his thoughts on the importance of relationships through culture and society. It is his belief that the vital essence of life starts with our relationships, both spiritually and physically. "Without relationships we have no identity, self-worth, or defining of involvement to the world we live in."
