Yutaka Takiura is an architect and interior designer based in New York City. Takiura holds a Bachelor Degree in Architecture from Waseda University in Tokyo, Masters Degree in Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology and Masters Degree in Architecture with Certificate in Urban Design from the University of Pennsylvania. Takiura has completed many projects ranging from small scale interior design to large scale multi-use buildings and is widely published including Interior Design magazine, A+U (Architecture and Urbanism) and JA (Japan Architecture). He is known as a specialist of modernism theory and published books/articles on modernism. He is currently an associate professor at the School of Art and Design, Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
