William Hartland

William Hartland

A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, and now a New Yorker of 23 years, Willy Hartland has carved out a distinguished career in animation. A recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Film, and many international film awards, Willy writes, directs, and animates his own films for the Web, TV, and Film. He has also worked as a storyboard artist on 3 feature films, and numerous TV shows, among them MTV's "Beavis and Butthead." In recent years he has begun experimenting with digital media like Flash and After Effects, pioneering new animation techniques which combine clay models and cut-outs, and are evocative of Eastern European animation.
