Adjunct Faculty – Illustration
Shelley Spector is an artist, gallerist, teacher and curator. She has been sculpting for nearly 20 years. She earned a BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
Her work is part of many private and public collections including HBO Incorporated, New York, NY; Human Rights Campaign, Washington, DC; Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia Museum of Jewish Art, Federal Reserve Bank and PECO Energy, Philadelphia, PA. She is a recipient of grants from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and the Independence Foundation.
In 1999 she opened SPECTOR Gallery/Projects, which showcases local and emerging artists, and has garnered local, national, and international acclaim. In Spector lives and works in Philadelphia.
