Regina DeLuise was born in Brooklyn NY in 1959. She graduated from the State University of New York at Purchase with a BFA in Fine Arts in 1981 and a Masters degree from Rosary College, Graduate School of Fine Arts in Florence,Italy in 1984. Regina DeLuise is represented by Bonni Benrubi Gallery in NYC and has shown extensively worldwide. She is a Guggenheim Fellow and her work is represented in many public and private collections.

Teaching is a major aspect of DeLuise's life in art. She has been at MICA since 1998, previously teaching at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, The Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC and the University of Georgia, Studies Abroad in Cortona, Italy. "There is great joy for me in teaching. To be a part of the delevopement and exploration of a young artist is so rewarding. I was very fortunate in my early life to have mentors who illuminated the path for me, encouraged me to pursue my vision as well embody a life that was very abstract to me. I strive to offer some of these same ideas to my students as well as encourage a sense of passion for self awareness, self expression and self discipline."
