Mark Sanders

Mark Sanders is a designer and educator that engages his work from a wide range of pursuits. With a BS in Architectural Design from Clemson University, Mark has worked as a project designer and manager on several hotel / conference center projects throughout the world. With an MFA in Visual Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University, he co-founded the design studio Q Collective in 2002 and has taught identity, systems and publication design at Rutgers University in Newark, experimental typography at Parsons School of Design as well as typography, design and technology in the MS and MFA Graduate Communications Design programs at Pratt. At Q Collective, Mark designs and produces interactive projects, identities, literature systems, promotional items and exhibitions for a diverse group of clients. His interactive design work has been honored by AIGA as well as the IAWMD and has received an American Graphic Design award for identity. His work has also been published by the New York Times, HOW Magazine and in books on typography, identity, interactive and systems design.

He is an avid reader, a food lover, an audiophile, a people-watcher, a photographer and has been learning how to play the bass for several years.
