To the casual observer Perrin would appear to be from a small harbor town on the northern coast of Long Island, when really, essentially she is from a much older and stranger world. Her whole life all she ever wanted to do was make pictures and tell stories. She is excited about how illustration is changing and rearranging itself in the modern, digital age. With these advancements in mind Perrin is always creating illustrations with an entrepreneurial approach. At its heart her work explores the old world in a new way, combining humor with darkness, and beauty with strangeness. She received her BFA in Painting and BA in English from the State University of New York at New Paltz, and her MFA in Illustration Practice from MICA. She can often be found obsessively art making with her beloved rabbit companion, Blanche DuBun.
