Kacy McAllister studied film production and criticism at Virginia Tech, where she earned an MA in communication studies. She has taught film production at the college level and continues to explore the relationships between cinema and memory in her own documentaries. Kacy has taught “Reality and Illusion of the Moving Image” at MICA for several semesters and she also provides students with one-on-one support for a range of academic challenges in the Learning Resource Center. Prior to joining MICA, Kacy taught public speaking at the college level to traditional students as well as English-as-a-Second-Language learners. She is currently researching depictions of disability in film and other media.
