Co-Chair – Graphic Design
Bernard J. Canniffe has had work featured in the Graphic Deisgn Annual, How magazine, CCPH Perspectives and is he recipient of the Graphic Designers for the New Millennium, 2000 Award. Three of his posters were included in This is for Real: War and the Contemporary Audience exhibition at Stoney Brook University, and he was one of a few world artists invivted to exhibit at the Museum at the Newton Center for British-American Studies.
Bernard J. Canniffe is orginally from Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, has lived in the United States since 1991 and moved to Baltimore in August 2001. He holds a BA in graphic design from the Newport College of Art & Design, Univeristy of Wales, and an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
He has made presentations on his "Blue Collar Design Theory" at Cumulus Design Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, National Institute of Design Conference in Ahmedabad, India, at Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam, Lees McRae College in North Carolina and at the P&D Design Conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has made presentatons on the MICA/JHU design project at medial, design, and academic conferences.
