MICA was excited that Baltimore was chosen as the host city for the National Art Education Association (NAEA) Convention held April 14-18, 2010. MICA faculty, staff and students shared their knowledge and research with colleagues at the 2010 NAEA Convention, the largest gathering of visual arts educators in the world. The theme of the 2010 convention was "Art Education and Social Justice".
In addtion to the dozens of on-site conference presentations by MICA community members, MICA also featured several off-site workshops conducted by MICA studio and art education faculty and the exhibition A Pathway to Awareness: Quilting for Social Justice.
