Bring Your Own Bag at the MICA College Store

With the help of senior graphic design major Lindsay Orlowski, the College Store is bag free! In the spirit of love, we stopped providing bags on February 14th, 2008. Lindsay designed posters to advertise the new "bring your own bag" campaign.

Bring Your Own Bag PosterWe have also made some bag dispensers from large cardboard tubes we had in our recycling pile. The bag dispensers are meant for used bags brought in by students, staff and other customers. If someone forgets to bring a bag and really needs one, they can help themselves to a reused bag from the dispenser. We have been talking to our customers about it and have received an enormous amount of support for this effort.
