The mission is to create a welcoming environment for all students, with a specific focus on the academic, social, and cultural needs of student concerns related to issues of culture, class, race, gender, sexuality, and similar issues.
The Office strives to contribute to a community in which all students are empowered to recognize and act on one's social responsibility in relation to domestic and global issues. This office places special emphases on developing co-curricular initiatives and programs to enhance cultural understanding that complements the course offerings of the faculty and the experiences of other offices on campus.
